Silverstone Circuit, home of British motor racing, has called Evolution Dome ‘fundamental in improving the shopping experience and increasing sales’ after selecting the international leader in temporary event services and solutions for the British Grand Prix 2018.
Evolution Dome delivered five branded structures complete with flooring, carpet, full shop fit-out and audio visual to house the ‘Official Merchandise’ shop over the race-day weekend. The event which saw hundreds of thousands descending on the Silverstone Circuit to spend a thrilling weekend watching Ferrari and Mercedes battle for poll position.
Lee Mullen, merchandise manager, Silverstone Circuits said, “Silverstone Circuit chose Evolution Dome as we were looking for something slightly outside the box that would be a great retail environment and draw the attention of customers.”
In fact, the Northamptonshire venue achieved a race-day crowd of just over 150,000 visitors, and with a three-day attendance pushing 400,000 spectators who saw Sebastian Vettel take first prize in the glorious British Sunshine.
Lee continues, “After an initial meeting with the Evolution Dome team, it was very clear that they were experts in their field and would go the extra mile to deliver on all fronts. Each year, when we have re-booked the Evolution Dome team, we have thrown in an extra request, and they have always risen to the challenge.”
