The Croke Park team are delighted to be shortlisted for the Event Technology Awards 2018 recognising the critical role technology plays at venues and events. Recently awarded Best Inhouse Events Team for the third consecutive year at the Event Industry Awards in Dublin, this team knows the importance of industry recognition.

Croke Park is located in Dublin city, a 15 minute drive from Dublin Airport and 5 minutes from the city centre. It offers a complete venue solution in the iconic home of the Gaelic Athletics Association or GAA with 600 free parking spaces and 4 star accommodation with 232 rooms at The Croke Park hotel.

Reflecting the standards of a modern world-class event centre, a high level of event technology has been incorporated into the event spaces and infrastructure at Croke Park Meetings & Events. The venue features Ireland’s first HD WiFi network operating across the meeting and events spaces for visitors and organisers. This ultra-fast HD WiFi infrastructure can support up to 40,000 devices and was a first for venues in Ireland.   The events team can create custom wireless solutions to meet all event needs including custom SSIDs and passwords.

Croke Park Meetings & Events is a leading venue digitally having previously won an INCON Digital Infrastructure Award and a MIMA Social Media Campaign accolade. The venue invests in a robust content marketing strategy across their social channels and blogs and champions the use of video content across its campaigns. It also uses display, adwords and paid social campaigns in driving brand awareness and lead generation.

The first stadium in the world to be awarded BS8901 for sustainability in event management, Croke Park has since been awarded the ISO 20121 and ISO 14001:2015. Sustainability is mainstreamed across all aspects of venue operations and since 2014 Croke Park has maintained a zero waste to landfill record.

Croke Park continues its pioneering focus on reducing the amount of waste, with sustainable meetings and events very much at the heart of these initiatives and Paperless Meetings the most recent initiative.
