Ticketmaster unveils as Hackney Church‘s exclusive ticketing partner. Utilising Ticketmaster Local, a discoverability platform highlighting grassroots and local venues throughout the UK, this collaboration aims to enhance the venue’s marketing reach and ensure a seamless ticketing experience for fans.

Launched in 2023, Ticketmaster Local aims to encourage support for grassroots and local venues by helping people easily discover nearby live events. This initiative allows fans to explore local events through an interactive location-based map, a newsletter, and a dedicated social media channel.

Thando Zulu, Hackney Church’s Experiences Director notes: “Despite the ongoing economic challenges of running a Venue of our size, we are looking ahead with confidence that we will be able continue to deliver high quality events and positively impact the local community in Hackney. We are proud to partner with Ticketmaster and their mission to support local venues. It is an exciting step on our continued journey of being a ‘Cathedral of Creativity’”.

Tim Goom, Client Development Director, Music at Ticketmaster, says: “Hackney Church is an iconic venue, a cornerstone of East London’s culture and community. We look forward to bringing our ticketing expertise to elevate the fan experience and keep pushing the venue’s mission of creativity and connection.”

Since its restoration and reopening in 2021, Hackney Church has become a cultural hub for the arts in East London. The 1800-capacity venue, equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system, has hosted artists like Ed Sheeran, Sampha, Biffy Clyro and Joy Crookes. Both Ticketmaster and Hackney Church share a commitment to supporting local talent and work with the Music Venue Trust.

Hackney Church, part of the SAINT church community, provides support to East London through its charity, Lighthouse. All profits from venue hire support these essential programmes. Ticketmaster is proud to be part of this mission.
