If ever there was a company in the industry that was born to supply stages to roadshow events, it would be The Stage Bus. The Birmingham-based team behind The Stage Bus have been designing stages with fast set-up times as just one of their features since their inception. Established almost two decades ago, the company has a fleet of 8 mobile stages with a set up time of just one hour – making them the obvious choice for whistlestop events where time and efficiency is of the essence and making targeted exposure an achievable reality for clients.

In 2019, company director Andrew Teverson completed the design of The Stage Box – a solar-powered mobile stage built within a shipping container. Designed to beat the set-up times offered by traditional stages hands down, The Stage Box is positioned in the desired location on site and is ready to go within an hour (and can be packed away and onto the next location within the same time.) These fast set-up times are made possible by the ingenious design which is hydraulic- based – meaning that no traditional stage rigging is required. PA system stacks and lighting are all built into the Stage Box and these components are ready to use at the push of a button.

With height-adjustable hydraulic legs, The Stage Box can be set at any height between 1 meter and 1.6m, meaning that the stage level can be adjusted to accommodate both more intimate and higher energy shows. Should a client want their demonstration or show to be easily accessible to the public, the lower height setting in conjunction with steps at the front of the stage make this achievable.

As well as efficiency, The Stage Box has been designed with the environment in mind and the stages are run on their on board solar batteries with 8 hours of power per charge, The Stage Box doesn’t need any external power, meaning that generators and power distribution aren’t necessary. Should an event run past 8 hours, additional solar batteries can be supplied

As well as the PA system and sound equipment included, The Stage Box also comes complete with a sound engineer who undertakes the setting up of the stage and managing all of the sound and light mixing required.

The Stage Box also lends itself to becoming a fully-branded unit, being brandable by way of full unit wraps, utilisation of the 90″ screen in the rear wall, and skirt and speaker banners. The Stage Bus has an in-house printers that are able to bring their client’s visions to life and making sure that the desired message is loud and clear.

Being a fully flexible unit, The Stage Box has been utilised for cookery demonstrations, brand activations, product launches as well as being part of sporting fan zones and music tours.
