IET Venues’ Clare Davies named Chair of Westminster Venue Collection Clare Brace

IET Venues is delighted to announce its Sales & Development Manager, Clare Davies, has been elected as the new Chair of the prestigious Westminster Venue Collection.

Having spent a year as Deputy Chair preparing for her new role, Clare will now lead the collection’s skilled board of directors as she champions the ideas of members and brings their proposals to life. With a focus during her tenure on strengthening membership engagement and growing the collection, Clare will be an advocate for the voices of those she leads, and ensure the collection is a safe space for new event professionals to connect, learn and thrive.

Commenting on her appointment, Clare said: “I’m incredibly proud to take on the role of Chair. Westminster Venue Collection brings together some of London’s most inspiring and innovative event spaces, each pushing the boundaries of what great events can look like. I’m committed to ensuring we continue to shine a spotlight on the incredible events community we have here in the heart of the capital, and I can’t wait to help nurture that community even further.”

Clare has been Sales & Development Manager at IET Venues since 2012, overseeing the entire sales team and working closely with other departments and external suppliers to help create unforgettable events for clients. Building her impressive event sales acumen with some of the UK’s leading brands, Clare learnt her craft at Mint Hotels and DeVere Hotels where she worked on everything from small meetings and high-profile conferences to large-scale weddings and outdoor events.

Westminster Venue Collection is an eclectic collection of carefully selected modern and traditional events venues, all with world-class facilities and all based in London’s iconic City of Westminster. The collection, which includes everything from fashionable townhouses and private members’ clubs to luxury hotels and historic institutions, promotes the benefits of holding events in Westminster and fosters a cooperative and supportive community of industry peers.
