There’s nowhere else like it in the world.

Surrounded by the preserved timbers of a Tudor warship over half a millennium old, visitors to The Mary Rose are guaranteed an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.

This world-class maritime archaeological museum in the heart of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is within easy reach of Southampton, Brighton and London, and is a meeting space with the wow factor, providing a stunning backdrop to any corporate event.

The Mary Rose is the only 16th century warship on display in the world, and this award-winning museum shares the fascinating history of a ship that lay forgotten on the seabed for 437 years.

All nine galleries offer panoramic views of the magnificent vessel – just imagine a board meeting or corporate dinner surrounded by treasures recovered from Henry VIII’s favourite warship.

The Admiral’s Gallery at the heart of the museum is an atmospheric space that houses some of the finest artefacts in the collection and can seat up to 100 guests for a theatre-style presentation, or 150 guests for a standing presentation.

The gallery leads outside to the Bridge Balcony, where guests can linger over drinks and take in the ever-changing views of  the historic waterfront.

For a more intimate venue, the Mary Rose also offers the beautiful Wardroom suite, fully-equipped for day delegates with its own LCD screen and charging points, and seating up to 18 for business lunches, meetings and conferences. Overlooking the world-famous HMS Victory, this a truly inspiring meeting space.

Upper Deck Dinners for corporate dinners and weddings allow up to 50 guests to experience the Mary Rose as never before.

Guests will enjoy first-class catering on the  upper deck of the museum, with uninterrupted views of the ship’s mighty oak timbers.

The experience can be personalised with music and lighting tailored to the client and the nature of the event, making each one a memorable, bespoke experience.

Paul Griffiths, Head of Operations, says: “Upper Deck Dinners literally take the experience of holding a corporate event at the Mary Rose Museum up a level.

“It is a new addition at the top of the range of our expanding events offering and truly is an experience like no other. Guests feel almost as if they are within touching distance of the Mary Rose, and being seated for dinner on the Upper Deck is as close as you can get to dining on the ship herself.

“It is a truly premium experience which cannot be replicated elsewhere.

“We offer cutting-edge audio-visual and conferencing facilities and exceptional standards of catering and service, surrounded by a unique sense of history and occasion.

“We look forward to welcoming businesses and private parties whose guests will be proud to become part of the Mary Rose story.”

Guests at all events enjoy a tour of the museum and experience an exclusive multi-media show, which brings the story of the Mary Rose vividly to life through sound and images projected directly on to the ship.

The Mary Rose has selected catering partners to offer a range of corporate packages, with drinks receptions starting at just £60 a head, and dinner packages from around £110 per person. All costs are exclusive of VAT and subject to minimum numbers.

The museum’s events team works closely with event bookers and organisers to ensure everything is perfect, from the first welcome drink until the last guest has left.

One-day delegate packages are available, which include a dedicated event manager, full multimedia facilities, complimentary wi-fi and a buffet lunch.

The Wardroom can be used throughout the day as well as for evening sessions, while the Admiral’s Gallery is open for events after 6pm.
