Emirates Old Trafford is a flexible, multi-purpose conference and events venue and world-class international sporting stadium ideally located in Manchester.
Catering from ten to 2,000 people across a multitude of events, from small meetings to large exhibitions, the high end space is fully supported by dedicated and in-house services, such as event duty managers, IT support and experienced event planners.
New for summer 2017, Emirates Old Trafford introduces a stunning on-site Hilton Garden Inn. With 150 bedrooms; 80 of which have balconies and overlook the world famous pitch, the spacious and modern bedrooms, restaurant, coffee shop, business centre and fitness suite offer delegates and guests the perfect complement to their visit to Emirates Old Trafford.

Tell us about some of the events that have taken place at Emirates Old Trafford.
Emirates Old Trafford has firmly positioned itself as not only one of Manchester’s leading conference and events venues, but regionally and nationally too, with its award winning venues.
Having previously hosted top brand names such as; Google, Ebay, Toshiba, Porsche and The StadiumBusinessDesign Summit, Emirates Old Trafford will once again be visited by an array of organisations in 2017, including The European Nuclear Decommissioning Conference and SOLACE Conference which is coming to Emirates Old Trafford this year from Glasgow.
It is clear that the venue is no stranger to hosting events that are on a national and international stage. Thrusted into the limelight in 2014 Emirates Old Trafford has hosted auditions for ITV’s The X Factor and The Voice within The Point. In 2016 The Point was also host to The Wright Stuff – On the Road which went on the road for the first time in its 16 year history, travelling from its London home to take up residence at Emirates Old Trafford.
Emirates Old Trafford is also a world renowned concert stadia, having hosted global mega stars for outstanding concerts, with both Beyoncé and Rihanna hosting sold out shows in summer 2016 and 2017 is no different, as Emirates Old Trafford welcomed the Courteeners for a 50,000 sell out concert on the 27th May.
Just a week later, Emirates Old Trafford also played host to the One Love Manchester benefit concert which was led by Ariana Grande and comprised a star studded line up. The One Love Manchester concert was held in memory of the 22 victims of the Manchester Arena attack and raised funds for the Manchester Emergency Fund.
Do you have contractors/suppliers that regularly service your events and if so, how have they lent their particular expertise to the development of your events?
We work with a number of preferred suppliers, including MCLCreate. MCLCreate works with Emirates Old Trafford as an extension of the event team. Through the power of conversation, mclcreate is able to drive business success for its customers, utilising this, alongside a complete technical understanding of the venue capabilities and unique access to equipment and experience, mclcreate enables event organisers to explore and innovate.
How has Emirates Old Trafford developed in the last 5 years?
Emirates Old Trafford is a globally renowned and award winning conference, events and concert venue, offering facilities which include The Point, The Pavilion, The AJ Bell Players & Media Centre, Trafford Cricket Centre as well as the stunning new Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford.
The Point, which opened in 2010, is a purpose built conference and events suite catering for up to 1200 people and can host a whole range of events from gala dinners and awards ceremonies to conferences, exhibitions and VIP drinks receptions to name just a few.
The high end facilities can also be found in the redeveloped Pavilion which accommodates up to 700 delegates utilising its eight suites and nine executive boxes.
Guests and delegates, will also be able to enjoy the stunning new facilities at the Hilton Garden Inn, combining their attendance at an event, conference, exhibition etc. with a stay in the spacious, modern hotel.
Are there any plans to develop Emirates Old Trafford over the next 5 years?
The striking Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford is the final piece of the jigsaw in the redevelopment process at Emirates Old Trafford and is set to open this summer 2017.
The addition of the new hotel further enhances the facilities available at Emirates Old Trafford, propelling the venue into a truly multi-purpose, international facility, easily able to accommodate multi-day conferences and events.
What strategies does Emirates Old Trafford employ to support events taking place within it?
Each event has its own dedicated and experienced Event Co-ordinator who is responsible for meeting and greeting the client on the day, as well as a Duty Manager.
The Point has its own Business Centre giving convenience to the organiser having access to a telephone and IT facilities throughout the day.
In addition to this, the Marketing team also provide free promotional event support, and are able to provide support with press releases, social media and can put clients in touch with key contacts, including media and suppliers.
