RSA House is the home of the charitable organisation known as The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, a famous centre for enlightened thinking and research. Located just off the Strand, in the heart of the West End, we are well placed in London to deliver events that require a convenient location, beautiful and historic surroundings, a warm welcome and varied catering options. We cater to all types of events, including corporate meetings, private celebrations, weddings, film shoots and Christmas parties.

In this year’s London Venue Awards, the team are delighted to have been shortlisted under the categories of ‘Best Historic Venue or Livery Hall’ and ‘Best London Event Venue – under 1,000 attendees’.

Housed in an amalgamation of five original Georgian homes, the RSA has a wealth of history dating back to 1774. Starting as a single house, the most recent purchase was made in 1977 to complete the building as it is today. The House offers a surprising mix of 11 unique spaces, accommodating groups of up to 220 guests for an array of events. The exterior façade offers the closest replica to Number 10 Downing Street in London.

The Great room offers a spectacular backdrop; natural light from the domed glass ceiling illuminates a breath-taking work of art completed solely by the Irish painter, James Barry over a period of 23 years. Built in speakers, a new high definition projector and varied lighting and staging options add to its universal appeal.

The underground Vaults, with dramatic exposed brickwork, an original stone road and snug alcoves, were once used as riverfront warehouses for cattle, dairy products and wine. Today this part of the building has its own entrance; an auditorium that seats up to 70, plus it’s an ideal venue for an evening party for up to 220 people.

With a dedicated in house caterer and audio visual provider, we have an experienced team who handle all events from enquiry through to on the day management. To see the fabulous creations of our catering team, take a look at our Instagram pages.

We look forward to welcoming you.
