A focused, relevant program combining talks, panel discussions, roundtables and innovation showcases have been planned to empower the 70+ festival organisers to introduce more sustainable practices to their events. This will be the 3rdannual meeting of organisers signed up to the Vision:2025 pledge, with Powerful Thinking, to cut the environmental impacts of their events by 50% by 2025.

The Showman’s Show organisers, Lance Publications, underline their commitment to sustainability in hosting the Vision:2025 event for the second year running on Wednesday 17th October. The afternoon event will be a chance for the Vision:2025 festival teams to share ideas, best practices and real ‘in the field’ challenges and opportunities. Festival organisers will also learn more about the new suppliers, organisations and communities that are helping the industry move towards more sustainable practices.

After the packed program attendees have the chance to continue the conversation over an ethically-brewed beer at the networking drinks. For the first time this year the Vision:2025 program includes a live judging panel for The Showman’s Show 2018 Green Supplier Award.

Sessions includesIndustry Energy Briefings, a Festival Focus panel, the ever-popular ‘roundtable’ session with specific table topics hosted by guest experts and suppliers, and a Toast to the Futurepanel, with guests looking at best practice in alternatives to single-use plastics and reusable options to cut bar waste.

Organisations Julie’s Bicycle and charity Energy Revolution, which are building communities of change around sustainability in the Arts, have been invited to introduce their support networks around key areas.
