Victorious Festival is proud to announce theyā€™ve been awarded Silver onĀ Attitude is EverythingĀ Charter of Best Practice for their commitment to being accessible to Deaf and disabled music fans.

ā€œIt has been an absolute pleasure to support Victorious to achieve Silver on our Charter of Best Practice. Weā€™ve been really impressed how the festival have engaged as a whole staff team, including undertaking Disability Equality Training and being responsive to customer feedback. Their dedicated access team have worked hard to make the festival as accessible as possible and we look forward to supporting them to progress further up the Charter in the future.ā€ ā€“ Paul Hawkins, Festivals and Volunteering Manager

The Victorious team have really enjoyed working with Attitude Is Everything this year to continue to make the festival as accessible to everyone as possible. As well as the festivals long running and well used Personal Assistant ticket scheme, which allows a free ticket to be issued to those who would be unable to attend the event without the help of another (subject to application requirements being met), they have improved facilities across the site.

In 2018, improvements to accessibility included having high dependency mobile toilet units- Mobiloo on site, portable hearing loops available for hearing aid users and Performance Interpreting, British Sign Language interpreters on site to translate artist sets throughout the weekend.

Victorious looks forward to continuing its commitment to the charter and improving accessibility in 2019.
