The creative technical production company, Universal Live, has been awarded an exclusive contract with the Park Regis hotel in Birmingham. Working closely with the hotel to help grow and develop its event provision, they will serve as the in-house audio visual partner.

Universal Live has 30 years of experience within the live events industry and over 15 years working in-house with event venues and hotels such as Leonardo Hotels, Hilton Double Tree and QHotels. Last year they added NAEC Stoneleigh to their portfolio of on-site venues. Working with their venue partners, Universal Live strengthens and compliments the event function by providing technical support, kit and knowledge to the venue; supporting the events team and clients through enquiry, delivery and beyond.

Already investing in the latest technology for Park Regis including Barco’s ClickShare systems which enables wireless connections between laptops and show screens, Universal Live will also have a dedicated AV manager on-site working alongside the hotel’s events team.

In 2018, the Park Regis underwent an £850,000 remodel. The four-star hotel transformed and expanded its event operations. The 16th floor of the hotel has 5,250 sq. ft. of event space split across the Sky Loft and the Sky Gallery, with the capacity for 400 delegates, boasting floor to ceiling 360-degree views of the city. In total, the hotel features eleven event and meeting spaces, catering for 4 – 300 people over four floors of the hotel.

The appointment of Universal Live means that the two businesses will work together in synergy to ensure that their clients are receiving the best experience, events and expertise.

General manager at Park Regis, John Angus, said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to agree the partnership with Universal Live and Park Regis Birmingham. Our focus is on the quality of our service, and with events, it is paramount that we can offer our clients the very best options and service. Universal Live provides precisely that service with a full-time, on-site AV manager, and equipment in the hotel; the customer interaction is second to none.

“We are also fortunate to have such a well-known company based at Park Regis Birmingham for the forecastable future. I am delighted that our clients are now in the safe hands of Universal Live for all of the AV requirements.”
