Industry leaders to #makeadifference at Event Sustainability Live

With exhibitors from across the industry already confirmed, Event Sustainability Live (ESL), which will co-locate with Event Tech Live at ExCeL, has announced four more big name sponsors: GL events, ESSA, DPRG and Vision 2025.

GL events, the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), and DPRG have joined headline sponsor Evolution Dome in supporting the first edition of ESL, which, with its ‘ENGAGE, EDUCATE, MAKE A DIFFERENCE’ mantra, promises to galvanise event industry response to the climate crisis.

Long committed to providing an “inspirational approach” to event sustainability, Rachel Baker, director of Marketing and CSR at GL Events, promises the company will be a powerful partner for the show.

“As a supplier to the events industry, supporting our clients in meeting their sustainability goals – and adding value for them and their events – are key objectives at GL, so we are delighted to be supporting Event Sustainability Live and we look forward to serving up content which brings the whole supply chain to the table,” Baker said.

A recent post on the ESSA site, headline ‘Green thinking’, highlights the association’s ongoing drive to help foster exactly that, and the hurdles interested parties have to climb.

“Our members are incredibly keen to embed all aspects of sustainability into the way they do business which has become a minefield when it really doesn’t need to be,” ESSA director Andrew Harrison said.

“Through our partnership with Event Sustainability Live, we’re keen to help dispel the myths and mitigate the growing misinformation to help everyone understand that it’s a journey that needs realistic, achievable, measurable goals.”

The very first agency to win BS8901 accreditation for sustainability, that mindset is still at the core of the DRPG model, from selecting lowest emission travel options to re-using screws on set builds and all points between.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of conversations surrounding sustainability in events, ESL provides the perfect platform to share best practice and ensure we’re all on the same track,” Zac Goodman, head of PR & marketing at DRPG, said.

Vision: 2025 is a growing network of over 500 outdoor events and businesses taking positive climate action. Founded in 2015, a not-for-profit driven by a steering group of outdoor events industry associations and leaders in the field of sustainability in live events and the arts.

“We’re delighted to partner Event Sustainability Live, supporting the aim to encourage positive action and awareness to encourage more sustainable practices across the event industry. Vision 2025 brings over a decade of expertise, providing free to access resources to help events reduce their carbon impact and we look forward to joining the industry in ExCeL this November.” Chris Johnson, Vision 2025 Chair, said.

The first edition of Event Sustainability Live takes place at Excel London on November 15 & 16, alongside Event Tech Live. Check out to see who is already exhibiting and for sponsorship opportunities.
