In 1998, Mo Jones and Jimmy Hewson joined forces to start a business selling tickets for gigs and events – 20 years later and they have grown that business into the event industry stalwart company it is today – TheTicketSellers.

Celebrating 20 years in business is no mean feat in today’s competitive market and Jimmy and Mo have worked hard to ensure that each and every year their company has grown, and the service has progressed in line with technology trends to become the leading independent ticketing selling agency in the UK.

Since its creation in April 1998, the ticket selling experts have gone from strength to strength working with large scale festivals such as Boomtown and Shambala, international club nights and major sporting events to offer a ticket selling platform and support service that rivals the global companies now in the sector. In addition to this, they have also developed Eventree, an online platform that helps organisers streamline crew and performer accreditation, meal planning, trader applications, document requests and volunteer recruitment amongst other benefits

To celebrate the two-decade milestone, TheTicketSellers has committed to doing ‘20 Great Things’ before turning the ripe old age of 21 next year. Similar to a bucket list, but with a difference, TheTicketSellers aim to introduce new initiatives, launch exciting business developments and take part in charitable activity to mark their 20th year in business.

The first ‘Great Thing’ on the list is a huge investment that will be allocated to support UK festivals and events looking for a new ticketing partner. Earmarking a whopping £500,000 to the fund, TheTicketSellers will allocate investment to event organisers they’ve not worked with before, who run a ticketed event of any size and would like to work with the team.

Mo Jones, Director and Co-Founder at TheTicketSellers explained,

“The last 20 years have been an incredible journey and we are really proud of what we’ve achieved – so for our 20th anniversary we want to celebrate the industry and our place in it. After years of developing our ticketing platform and investing over £1.5 million into Eventree, we are now at a point where we can expand our client list and help even more events streamline their processes. We’ll be at this year’s Showman’s Show to meet with event and festival organisers who are interested in finding out more – just pop by stand 86 in the exhibition hall for a chat.”

Recipients of the investment will benefit from TheTicketSellers market-leading ticketing platform and their unique ‘On Sale To On Site Service’ which includes consulting on ticketing structure, 24-hour UK based support agents for any customer enquiries throughout the ticket sale process and an on site team to check customers into the event. In addition to this, event organisers partnering with the team will also benefit from Eventree, the unique platform that helps organisers manage crew and performers at an event.

Jimmy Hewson, Director and Co-Founder at TheTicketSellers continued, “Since we began the company we’ve always invested in the latest technologies to ensure our clients are offered the most cutting-edge solutions. We build the software in-house which gives us more flexibility when it comes to meeting client requests and our ‘On Sale To On Site’ service means we are a true event partner for our clients, always pulling out all the stops. With this huge investment we have available, we want to help UK festivals and events grow and become even more successful – now is the perfect time to get us involved and see what we can do to support the future of your event.”
