The National Gallery presents two new outdoor event spaces for 2019. The National Gallery Garden and Jubilee Walk were offcially launched last month, increasing the Gallery’s event space portfolio to ffteen inspirational locations within the complex.

Responding to an increased demand for outdoor entertaining options in Central London, the two new spaces will be available to hire for events from January 2019. Both the National Gallery Garden and Jubilee Walk will have their own distinctive and versatile features to allow for a range of different events, both during the day and evening. Kate Rolfe, Head of Events at The National Gallery Company comments: “The National Gallery is excited by the creative opportunities that our new outdoor spaces provide. We look forward to taking the Gallery’s inspiration outside to bring both private and public events to life in these new and previously unexplored surroundings. This is a completely fresh offer from the Gallery and we look forward to seeing the ways they can be transformed for creative events moving forward.”

The National Gallery Garden

The National Gallery Garden offers a peaceful escape from neighbouring Trafalgar Square. Accessed by a secret door directly from the iconic London landmark, this hidden courtyard is surrounded by fragrant jasmine bushes, complete with an unforgettable view of the National Gallery’s famous façade. Available for evenings and all day hire on weekends, the garden is ideal for private drinks receptions, intimate alfresco dining, and pop-up events for up to 60 guests.

Jubilee Walk

Nestled between the two sides of the Gallery, the new Jubilee Walk event space features an architectural backdrop like no other. The covered space is surrounded by limestone and glass features that epitomises modern urban elegance. Ideal for creating bespoke event settings, this space is perfect for a memorable occasion. Suitable for drinks receptions for up to 420 guests and sit down dinners for up to 315 guests.
