Awards organisers, GCN Events, were delighted to congratulate all the winners of the first ever Charity Event Awards.

These brand-new awards were created to recognise and celebrate examples of where charities have harnessed the power of events to both advance their cause and raise much needed extra funds.

These awards honour the dedication, determination, ingenuity and true grit of all those involved of the staging of these events. Co-located with the Awards Awards 2019, the winners were announced at a ceremony attended by 250+ event and awards professionals on 17th May at etc. venues 133 Houndsditch.

Claire Wormsley, founder and managing director of GCN Events said: “We have been delighted to introduce the Charity Event Awards this year. In the increasingly competitive UK charity events sector, it is an uphill challenge to stand out from the crowd.

“The winners and runners up are an exemplary lesson in how to use ingenuity, creativity and flair to constantly invent and evolve, and deliver a faultlessly executed and memorable occasion for all participants. Many Congratulations to everyone who entered and provided inspiration for us all. Heartfelt thanks also to our fantastic judges for their insight and expertise.”

The ceremony was hosted by Impressionist, Comedian and Satirist Rory Bremner, with further entertainment from the multi-talented actress and singer Jess Robinson.
