The ICC and Vox Conference Centre have strengthened the structure of the Events team with the appointment of Gemma Carter-Heyward in a newly created Head of Events role.

As Head of Events, Gemma – who has been in the position of Senior Event Manager for the Vox since 2014 –will oversee the Event Management function at both venues, helping to develop and inspire the team as they continue strive to be best in class.

Allan Boyle, Director of Event Services for the ICC and Vox, said, “We have created this role with our clients in mind. The new position will allow us to increase consistency in the delivery of our events and also create a much more natural structure for the Event Management team.  We really feel this will bring on the Events Management function by leaps and bounds, giving them the freedom to bring more innovation to the events we deliver whilst also maintaining that excellent level of customer service we are known for.”

Allan added, “Gemma was the perfect choice for this role. She has done a fantastic job at the Vox over the last few years, and has been integral to the success of the venue. Her passion and creativity is balanced with her ability to plan and lead teams. We are looking forward to seeing Gemma in action and have no doubt she will continue to deliver great work.”
