VRJAM, the world’s first real-time, performance platform for live virtual and augmented reality on mobile devices, has today revealed its beta version technology. Showcasing at the Createch 2019 conference – the Creative Industries Council’s annual innovation conferences – VRJAM is set to disrupt the way XR content is streamed via mobile. It offers a brand-new way for businesses to reach global audiences.

A live streaming platform for both virtual and augmented reality, VRJAM empowers content creators to create and share live, interactive XR performances with millions of people worldwide. Designed in consultation with Google, VRJAM’s revolutionary technology enables content creators to project live performances into a 3D, animated world: an immersive experience for users is created.

VRJAM provides a new tool for brands, businesses or other content creators to stream content in an innovative way, which has never done before. From live events, business events, conferences, through to music concerts, sports events and much more, VRJAM will empower different industry sectors to share content in an exciting way, reaching new, international audiences.

The startup’s technology will be showcased to the world at the Createch conference on Tuesday 11th June 2019 in London and will be used to simulate the UK Minister For Culture and a high ranking Facebook Executive inside VR as life-like 3D avatars. This world first moment for XR tech will mark the first time a UK MP has existed inside a real-time VR environment.

Three hours of the speaker itinerary for the day will be live streamed via VRJAM’s platform, so that users around the world will be able to tune in to experience all the panels and talks taking place, live inside a vivid VR simulation.

VRJAM works by supplying a real-time motion capture, cloud computing and audio streaming solution to provide a life-like simulation of the creator’s content. This all takes place inside a dynamic, three-dimensional environment designed to perfectly reflect the venue where an event is taking place.

Users and creators can co-exist in the immersive world as CGI avatars, interacting with each other and also the live event. They can access any VRJAM streamed event from anywhere in the world and experience it in new, unimagined ways.

Sam Speaight, CEO and founder of VRJAM, commented: “We’ve developed a technology which is set to be a game-changer for the way XR content can be shared. Our cutting-edge platform provides an unrivalled, immersive way for businesses across different sectors to share content.

“By using innovative fast 5G streaming technology, global audiences will be able to tune into a live event, a conference, a business event, a sporting event or anything which a brand is streaming – to experience it like never before, digitally reimagined. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created and we’re sure this will disrupt the way industries aim to reach new demographics.”

To experience VRJAM, users can either log into the platform using a VR headset or a smartphone, via its app which will be available to download from the Google Play Store. Coinciding with the launch of 5G in the UK, mobile-users will be able to experience premium  XR content, thanks to VRJAM’s ultra-fast mobile network technology.
