Church House Westminster is a Covid-Secure hybrid and virtual events venue where an award-winning production team creates innovative and engaging digital and in-person event experiences.

The Grade 2 historic venue listed is located within leafy Dean’s Yard and offers a peaceful setting along with stunning views of Westminster Abbey.

Event organisers can look forward to a choice of 19 versatile and modern events spaces, ranging from the small and intimate, to the large and impressive. The largest space is the dome-shaped Assembly Hall, which was designed by Sir Herbert Baker in 1939. The focal point of this room is a striking 30-foot glass dome. With its 8 entrances leading into the 519 sq metre circular room, the Assembly Hall is a popular space for bespoke events such as fashion shows as well as hybrid conferences and prestigious awards dinners.

A selection of flexible event spaces, which are also conveniently located on the first floor, are often utilised as breakout rooms to support the plenary sessions in the Assembly Hall. The Hoare Memorial Hall, along with the Bishop Partridge Hall and the Convocation Hall can be used for press rooms, catering, green rooms, exhibitions, and registration areas.

  • The Hoare Memorial Hall is steeped in history as it played host to the House of Commons during WWII.
  • The Bishop Partridge Hall offers a stunning stone balcony with impressive views of Westminster Abbey and Dean’s Yard for receptions and press launches.
  • The Convocation Hall with its classically inspired arch details housed the House of Lords during the Second World War.

Smaller event spaces on both the ground floor and the first floor are ideal for safe in-person and hybrid meetings, training sessions and private offices. The suites are all fitted with the latest event technology for smart meetings.

The Abbey Room on the ground floor offers a high-tech virtual studio set – ideal for producing event content. The new digital studio features high-quality cameras, lighting and sound solutions and is fully supported by the on-site event and production teams. It is also from this studio where the events team hosts interactive virtual teambuilding activities.

Church House Westminster is also one of London’s newest venues offering outside broadcast facilities, offering film, media and TV production organisers fibre connectivity to deliver outside broadcasts to anyone, anywhere in the world. The new TV Outside broadcast venue service is provided by BT, one of the largest TV broadcast (TVOB) providers in the UK.

Another new service includes affordable podcast studio hire for broadcast-quality recording podcasts. Once again, the in-house audio-visual and production team is on hand to assist on the day along with publishing and post-production.

Film, photography and location work at Church House Westminster offers unique settings, from the seventh-floor rooftop with its stunning 360-degrees view of Westminster, to the sash windows, polished English oak paneling, curved corridors and a total of 2,000 square metres to accommodate wardrobe changes and catering areas.

We look forward to welcoming you to Church House Westminster soon.
