Gill Tee and Deb Shilling’s production company Entertee Events bucked every trend lastsummer to launch the already multi-award winning Black Deer Festival at Eridge Park, Tumbridge Wells, smack in the middle of the season peak.

Amid a turbulent market – names like V/Rize and Bestival kicked into the long grass – with a focus on ‘Americana and Country’, Gill to a T, Black Deer is a family festival. It brings a weight of music, blues and bluegrass through vintage western, and Billy Bragg who has just been confirmed for the second edition, Stetsons and stories, custom bikes and trucks, cook outs, sour mash whiskies, a whole sensory experience, to county Kent.

Entertee Events has found funding, a trusted team of suppliers and a wonderful site for Black Deer Festival and stamped it with the company’s uniquely engaging management style. Festivalgoers, and suppliers, describe the atmosphere as ‘walking into a warm hug’.

Crucially, Tee’s festival history, which includes projectmanaging Party in the Park for Capital Radio and directing proceedings at Vince Power’s Hop Farm, stands her in perfect stead…for anything.
