Sustainability Centre Stage at BMA House

On Wednesday, March 6th, event professionals congregated at the exquisite BMA House in London for the highly anticipated Sustainable Breakfast Briefing. Against the backdrop of this elegant venue, attendees engaged in discussions centred around sustainability in events, with a particular focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations.

Hosted by Alistair Turner Founder of Eight PR, the panel featured industry luminaries including Matt Grey, founder of event:decision; Kate Holliday, Head of ESG at GES EMEA; Chrissie Beck, Founder at Worlds Better; Meg Strahle, Sustainability Consultant at The Bulb; and Hannah Robinson, Business Development at BMA House. Together, they delved into the importance of ESG, with a special emphasis on the social aspects, illuminating the path towards more sustainable and socially responsible events.

Delegates seized the opportunity to network and forge meaningful connections while indulging in a delectable plant-based breakfast thoughtfully prepared by Company of Cooks. The culinary delights perfectly complemented the spirit of sustainability and left attendees nourished and inspired.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the 2024 edition of the Sustainable Event Guide, signalling a renewed commitment to promoting sustainability within the events industry. This comprehensive guide promises to equip event professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to integrate sustainability into every aspect of event planning and execution.
