A new survey shows nearly half of female festival goers have received unwanted sexual behaviour at music festivals.

Skiddle – as the UK’s biggest and most comprehensive festival guide and ticketing outlet has responded:

“The results of this YouGov research are truly shocking but not altogether surprising, unfortunately.

“Earlier this year – on International Women’s Day – Skiddle, were the first ticketing outlet to officially partner with Safe Gigs For Women because everyone should have the opportunity to attend a music festival without feeling threatened or harassed. The fact many women do have to put up with unwanted and uninvited attention is inexcusable and as an industry we need to work together to stop this.

“We are determined to inform and change behaviour and we hope by working together we can ensure all live music events are safer and more welcoming spaces in the future.”
