On Thursday 27th September, His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester visited creative communications agency drp’s head office. The visit provided an opportunity to explore drp’s innovative and forward-thinking business. The Duke toured the agency’s studios and was shown some of the latest technological solutions that the business is executing for a variety of its clients. His Royal Highness met various team members from the business and experienced first-hand the ethos and culture that has seen drp grow from a one man operation in 1980 to employing over 280 people today.

This is drp’s second Royal visit. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, attended a conference at the studio, held in conjunction between drp and YSS in April 2015. As a Patron of the Charity, The Princess Royal addressed the delegates to open the event. This time around, The Duke of Gloucester was given a full tour of the facilities that comprise three state of the art studios, a cinema, six edit suites and a large construction and production warehouse.

Dale Parmenter, drp CEO, said about the visit, “It’s always a pleasure to welcome guests to our studios. But undoubtedly an honour to have the opportunity to welcome a member of the Royal Family. Being a local business helps to promote the excellent creative talent we have outside of the M25 halo, in particular Worcestershire. The team were delighted to meet the His Royal Highness and explain what they do. We hope he found it insightful.”

This visit coincided with the annual event drpbigtalk which is a thought leadership event attended by over 120 key drp clients.
