As it celebrates its 30th birthday, Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links has launched ‘Meet by the coast’, a new collection of flexible corporate event packages for guests looking for more interesting event locations and activities.

The new packages at Dublin’s only coastal resort will act as a ‘pick and mix’ menu, allowing clients to uniquely tailor events to their specific needs.

Although 2026 marks the resort’s 30th birthday, the historic property dates back much earlier. At its heart is the former home of the Jameson whiskey family, built in the 1850s alongside an adjoining golf course. Today, the property still reflects that heritage, with features including the popular Jameson Bar paying tribute to its original owners.

Some of the options on the ‘Meet by the coast’ pick and mix menu will be resort based. These include special golf clinics or ‘beat the pro’ matches with Brendan Walton, coastal-themed spa treatments such as seaweed baths, beach activities, sea swims and tailored team building sessions run by external specialists. Dining can also be offered on site in one of several restaurants or event spaces, including corporate barbecues in the Secret Garden. In addition, companies can hire the Síbín as a private traditional Irish pub where guests can pull their own pints. A wide range of external dining options are also available.

The activities menu also includes a multitude of exclusive activities around the local area, such as visiting Lambay Island, the largest privately owned island in North-West Europe. Lambay is home to a rich tapestry of wildlife, including birds, seals, fallow deer and – surprisingly – a thriving population of over 100 wild wallabies. Other options include visits to Malahide Castle or New Grange, the prehistoric monument which pre-dates Stonehenge and the Egyptian Pyramids; trips to the Wicklow Mountains or out to sea; or a visit to Dublin to see some of the famous sights including Trinity College, Temple Bar and the other important location for the Jameson family – its distillery.

Portmarnock Resort is unrivalled in the area with its extensive grounds and stunning outdoor space set directly alongside the Velvet Strand beach. The famous Jameson Golf Links, set on the same site as the original Jameson family golf course built almost two centuries ago, is regarded as one of Ireland’s premier modern links courses. It delivers a true test of skill for golfers of all abilities, along with breathtaking coastal views.

Being able to accommodate up to 300 event attendees and with 134 bedrooms, the resort has ample parking for guests, including coaches. It also benefits from being located just 15 minutes from one of Europe’s busiest transport hubs, Dublin International Airport, connecting it to 190 international locations.

Portmarnock Resort recently refurbished its meeting and event spaces including the installation of state-of-the-art AV equipment to facilitate a wider range of events. Day delegate packages are available for those looking for a more inspiring meeting venue, including an optional sea swim.

William Kirby, General Manager at Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links, said: “With the resort’s spectacular setting and extensive grounds, we offer something many other providers can’t. Whether businesses are focused on high-impact meetings, leadership retreats, conferences, team-building or incentive programmes, what could be better than to ‘Meet by the coast’? With our unique amenities and the potential combination of activities available, from secret garden barbecues to wallaby watching, our aim is to create events which people never forget.”
