P&O FERRIES is inviting conference organisers to hold their events on board one of its famous ships this year, as the ferry and logistics company diversifies its offer to customers.

The company has two 60,000 ton cruise-ferries which sail on the Hull-Rotterdam route overnight and are berthed at the Port of Hull during the day. The two ships – Pride of Hull and Pride of Rotterdam – will also serve as conference venues during 2018.

Sarah Rosier, P&O Ferries’ Head of Sales and Marketing, said: “Where better to hold your conference than on a 60,000 ton cruise-ferry, equipped with outstanding food outlets, on-board cabins and highly competitively priced shops? The atmosphere for delegates will be memorable – and completely different to a hotel, where so many conferences which are soon forgotten about are held.”

“Organizers can choose a one-day conference or an overnight conference, which would involve sailing to Holland. We can accommodate a maximum of 390 guests, there is free car parking for delegates at the port and the range and size of the rooms on offer gives maximum flexibility to the client.”

“I would urge anyone who is thinking of staging a conference in the Midlands or North of England to get in touch and find out more about what we offer.”

P&O Ferries has partnered with First Media, a creative agency based in Louth, to deliver outstanding events for its conference clients. First Media currently runs events for UEFA, the FA, the Premier League and University of Hull.

P&O Ferries is a leading pan-European ferry and logistics company, sailing 27,000 times a year on eight major routes between Britain, France, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Holland and Belgium. It operates more than 20 vessels which carry 8.4 million passengers and 2.3 million freight units annually.

Together with its logistics division, P&O Ferrymasters, the company also operates integrated road and rail links to countries across the continent including Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain and Romania. P&O Ferrymasters also owns a rail terminal in the Romanian city of Oradea, which facilitates the onward movement of goods to Britain from Asian countries via the Silk Road.
