Next month see’s the launch of Origin, a new immersive, hi tech, sensory experience based at The Ministry in Borough (London). The new attraction is the creation of Crucial FX, and will include some of the most up-to-date technologies currently being deployed in experience design. The experience itself has been created to demonstrate the full capabilities of projection mapping, AV and sound design, holographics and sensory technologies.

The exact details of what can be found within Origin are being closely guarded, but the room will be open to event professionals early in the New Year, as part of a launch campaign aimed specifically at event designers. Origin only holds a maximum of six people, and will be used for client brainstorms, and as entertainment for meetings; however, its primary use will be to demonstrate the full capabilities of event relevant technologies to event agencies, experience marketers and corporate event departments.

Crucial FX, the production team behind Origin, have already grown a stellar reputation for creating interactive and immersive experiences for some of the biggest brands, at live events around the world. The company has been the creative vision behind film premieres, fashion shows, audio-visual displays at conferences and interactive technologies for brand activations.

“Crucial FX are having too much fun with Origin; it’s a play room where just about every new gadget, system, programme, and tool has been pulled together into a sensory symphony,” commented Ollie Smith, Partnership Manager at The Ministry. “It’s beautiful, it’s mystical, it’s fun and it’s thrilling. It’s also a sign of just how far we can push technology to create immersive experiences.”

Crucial FX will be inviting event professionals in to sample Origin throughout December and January 2019.
