Evolution Dome and its New Zealand-based partner, Air Space Structures, gave more than 400 wine experts a taster of their inflatable event structures late last month.
The New Zealand Winegrowers Association held its Romeo Bragato National Conference – one of the most important events in the New Zealand wine calendar – in McLean Park in the Hawke’s Bay area of the North Island.
Working with its New Zealand distributor Air Space Structures, Evolution Dome, the international leader in temporary inflatable event structures and solutions, provided a 24m dome for the main plenary sessions at the two-day conference.
The conference attracts an audience from across the wine growing industry and this year it centred around innovation, with the dome ideally lending itself to the theme.
Ash Austin, director of Evolution Dome explained: “The partnership with Air Space Structures is very much in its early stages with a huge amount more to come. This was a fantastic event to make a mark on the industry in New Zealand and this conference is proof of our success overseas. Martin and the team at Air Space are exceptional, very professional and the attention to detail was second to none. The feedback from the client has been nothing but positive and the structures have been a huge success. We look forward to the partnership with Air Space growing over the coming months with events in both New Zealand and Australia already booked into the 2019 calendar.”
Sarah Szostak senior executive-global events for New Zealand Winegrowers said: “Holding a large-scale event in a region means venue options are limited. As we had a focus on innovation, the modern structure was a perfect fit for the event. People loved the dome and it really was a key focus in the positive comments from our guests – we can’t wait to use the team and structures again.”
Angie Rawlinson, director of Many Hats, the conference organiser for New Zealand Winegrowers, added: “The team met with us and the clients at the Hawkes Bay venue to ensure everyone was completely comfortable with the process. We also invited key contacts from local businesses to view the Dome once set up to share the innovation of the space and showcase what else we could do in this region if we think outside the obvious. We had a fantastic time working with Air Space Structures and Evolution Dome during the set-up and pack-down and can’t wait to work with the guys again on future projects.”
