With International Confex fast approaching, the usual mix of suppliers will this year be joined by a venue that you could say is hiding in plain sight. This multi-purpose events location features vast outdoor spaces, an onsite hotel, a rich history, flexible modern facilities and capacity for over 12,000 delegates. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to NAEC Stoneleigh.

Situated in the heart of Warwickshire – and with excellent connections to major road and rail networks – NAEC Stoneleigh is undertaking an ambitious project to expand its portfolio of events clients. The long-established venue has recently completed an 18-month £1.8m upgrade of its facilities, and now boasts exhibition halls, meeting rooms, conference spaces and a hotel to rival the quality of any other location in the UK.

Speaking to Event Industry News, Marketing & Communications Manager Kate Varvedo explained why the venue is working hard to promote itself.

“It’s a well-used phrase, but we genuinely think that our venue is one of the best kept secrets in the industry. Many people have heard of the location, but the history of the site mean that many event professionals associate us with one kind of event. We know that when people visit our venue for the first time they are genuinely surprised by what’s on offer. The venue upgrades have been designed to inspire creativity, and our investment has been tailored to ensure that we have some of the most flexible event spaces anywhere in the country.”

International Confex visitors will be able to explore the facilities at NAEC Stoneleigh via virtual reality headsets, allowing them to take interactive tours through the event spaces and see them in both ‘blank canvas’ and ‘fully dressed’ formats.

“The infrastructure within our venue really is first-class”, said Kate. “The VR tours will show this, but more importantly they will inspire visitors to imagine what they could achieve within the spaces.”

As part of its strategy to improve awareness of the venue, visitors to International Confex will be able to interact with NAEC Stoneleigh will be using the hashtag #discoverourspace
