With Green Day, Justin Bieber and Kings of Leon headlining, British Summer Time was back this summer for another year of great live music in Hyde Park. With the crowds, crew and performers, Intent returned for the fourth summer to provide a range of custom stretch tents helping to bring a little magic to the festival’s VIP Gardens, Artist and Guest Areas.

Working with a range of companies, from Peppermint bars to Loudsound, Intent rigged a variety of bespoke stretch tents ranging from 8m x 6m to 42m x 15m to create the perfect mix of bars, food halls and branded spaces for the festival.

Working closely every year with James Wilson (VIP Garden & Guest Area Producer) Intent’s team of expert riggers were able to navigate trees and cover raised bars to adapt to the needs of the festival, creating impact with new sizes, colours and shapes of a structure.

Guest hosted by Tinder this year and rigged amongst the trees of Hyde Park for intimacy, the Artist & Guest area featured a number of coloured tents to match the brand’s vibrant colours and set them apart from the rest of the busy site. Mixing a range of light blue and purple tents with coloured uplighting to create a vibrant chill out areas for special guests, the artist areas played host to a mix of bars and cocktail trucks serving up relaxing spaces on comfy lounge sofas.

Meanwhile, across the site, the VIP Garden was designed with a grand scale and style in mind, hosting three large, free-standing bars and a range of comfy seating areas. Designed and decorated with luxury in mind, wood flooring and bars were installed throughout to create rustic relaxation spaces. Rigging classic Chino coloured tents throughout the space, Intent covered over the bars and seating areas to keep the theme of the space inline with rest of the production, creating a perfect space to enjoy VIP views of the stage whilst stepping away from the crowds.

Playing a role in creating the VIP Garden, Artist and Guest areas at British Summer Time has meant returning to the site with fresh ideas and approaches; a challenge that’s been welcomed by the Intent team year on year. We look forward to returning in summer 2018.
