ILEA UK Chapter has announced its springtime events calendar with a mixture of educational roundtables and experience events, continuing the association’s focus on creativity, digital disruption and the next generation of event attendees.

The season kicks off with an interactive discussion on creativity in the events industry, hosted by Ru Barksfield, Big Bear X, who will share his own approach to creative impacts from both his experience working with brands in the events industry, and creating technology solutions by ‘mashing up’ new and old software and hardware.

The programme will also see the chapter give talks at Greenwich University on employability, continue the chapter’s partnerships with key trade exhibitions at the Christmas Party Show and IMEX Frankfurt, and host an open day with ILEA members on Creative Technology. The programme includes events two events in March, two in April and three in May, with a new educational and event strategy to be announced for the summer.

“We had a great deal of traction for our content at both the Summer Event Show in January, and at International Confex in February, now we’ve created smaller focussed discussion style groups for members,” commented Carlo Zoccali, President, International Live Events Association. “This is content that ILEA is at the very cutting edge of, and continues an ongoing discussion taking place within our membership about what future events will look like.”

The ILEA UK content programme for the spring is available to view and subscribe to on www.ileauk.org, many of the events will be streamed on Periscope and Facebook Live so members should look out for these feeds as well.
