Promohire was appointed by creative agency Optimist, Inc. to collaborate on an activation for Google. We converted an H-Van so they could hit the road with the Google Mini Donut Shop pop-up tour, celebrating the Google Home Mini smart speaker devices. Inspired by their sweet American Donut Shop expedition, the H-Van is touring London in the lead up to Easter.

Teaming up with Doughnut Time, an Australian doughnut brand (whose menu features everything from maple syrup to watermelon), Google is bringing a truckload of them to London for everyone to get their sugar fix. However, there’s an extra sweet twist – by visiting the pop-up, you are in for a chance to take home either a brand new
Google Home Mini, or two delicious doughnuts. How sweet is that!

When guests order, they will have the chance to win a surprise – a Google Home Mini – with their doughnut. The built-in truck conveyor delivers a box full of delights to take home and guests will discover whether the box is filled with a doughnut or Google Home Mini. Google hopes to bring Londoners’ morning commute to life with the help of the Google Home Mini. Powered by the Google Assistant, Londoners will get
to see how the Mini can help with their morning routine, how to keep up-to-date with breaking news, calendars, journeys, weather updates, and more.

The Google Home Mini Donut Shop pop-up tour kicked off in Westfield Stratford City on Thursday 22nd – 25th March and continues at the Angel Central Shopping Centre from Thursday 29th March – Sunday 1st April.

To continue the momentum, Donut Shop pop-up bikes were built to tour in two locations: the John Lewis store on Oxford Street and White City on Friday, 30th March and Saturday, 31st March between 10am – 6pm.

The striking pink H-Van is definitely attracting the crowds. Promohire’s big brother company Raccoon has been very busy with the brand production for this campaign, delivering a range of services to bring this vehicle to life. From a giant doughnut prop, motorised conveyor belt and menu to bespoke neon signage and a photo booth, this vehicle has it all!
