Virtual and hybrid event platform Glisser has announced the launch of the first truly hybrid event, Hybrid Events Ignited, designed to educate and inform in-house corporate event planners on how to run their very own hybrid events. The event will take place in London, New York City and online on 13th July 2021.

Created to help event planners move beyond theory and put hybrid events into action, attendees and speakers will be located across two physical locations and online, with 16 speakers, some of whom will also be attending virtually.

The world-first event agenda has been independently researched and developed by a highly skilled event sector commentator, to ensure it provides the exact information that corporate event planners need to know. It is aimed at those involved in event planning and delivery, marketing and sales, communications or training and development. Across seven sessions, Hybrid Events Ignited will cover: The challenges of event design; Supplier requirements; Software requirements; Hardware requirements; Speaker experiences; and Attendees’ opinions

The event will showcase the art of the possible for event planners for whom, until now, hybrid events are an unknown. Working with trusted hybrid delivery partners including etc.venues, Encore, NMR, EventCloud, and Noonah, the event will use the Glisser platform to unite audiences and optimise engagement.

“It’s time for the event sector to look forward and we are very pleased to be leading the way with a truly progressive hybrid event,” commented Mike Piddock, founder and CEO of Glisser. “Hybrid Events Ignited offers the corporate event planner community the chance to come together in person in both New York and London, or to join online if that suits individuals better. Providing the choice of all attendance options is something we are fast learning is essential, and then it’s down to us to execute a seamless experience for all attendees, wherever they are. We get the chance to put our years of hybrid event learnings into practice and provide something genuinely meaningful for corporate event planners.”

Garrett Ronan, Chief Operating Officer USA, etc.venues, which is providing both London and NYC venues, commented, ”We are excited to partner with Gilsser and showcase how to create memorable hybrid meetings whether audiences and speakers are in the same room, across the country or across the Atlantic Ocean. Meeting planners mistakenly think hybrid meetings are too complicated, but choosing the right partners and venues makes all the difference. We hope meeting planners will feel relieved when they realize how easy we’ve made it for them to hold best-in-class hybrid meetings that fully engage all attendees.”

In the US, NMR is responsible for the production of the event. John Gavin, Production Manager at NMR events, added, “Streaming events online is nothing new to us, and the recent hybrid emergence brings some impressive new technologies. Reaching a wider audience and innovating ways to connect in-person and remote attendees have been game-changers for us.”

Claire Tulloch, the independent conference producer behind the event, added, “This is a world-first event that will showcase exactly what’s possible with a hybrid event. Accessibility, engagement, customisation, analytics – all will be demonstrated and explained here.”

The event is free to attend and registration is open now. Speaker biographies, the full agenda and registration can be found here: https://www.glisser.com/event/. Limited in-person tickets will be prioritised for corporate event planners.

For attendees in the UK, business events of this size are well within current guidance and some social distancing restrictions remain in place. Glisser will be following all the required business safety measures.
