Riverside London venue, Glaziers Hall, has appointed a new managing director to drive a new events and marketing strategy and oversee the management of all aspects of the business.

Nicholas Bills joins the team at Glaziers Hall with extensive experience in hospitality consultancy and business development, having most recently held the position of director at specialist event management company, Teetopin.

Nicholas also spent four years with De Vere Venues, PH Hotels and Four Pillars, as business development director, managing multi-million-pound contracted clients and the SMERF (sports, military, educational, religious groups, fraternities and charities) division worth £3m to the business.

Among the priorities for Nicholas in his new role are creating a new marketing and events strategy for the business, building and strengthening relationships with Glaziers Hall’s core audiences, and establishing the venue as one of London’s leading unique event spaces.

To encourage more new visitors to the venue and reintroduce Glaziers Hall to those who have held or attended an event there before, Nicholas has already introduced a monthly drop-in event on the last Thursday of the month, for anyone who’s interested to enjoy some hospitality and explore the venue at their leisure throughout the afternoon.

Speaking after his appointment, Nicholas said: “I’m excited to be working with an amazing venue with a fantastic history. It’s a great time to be joining the team as Glaziers Hall has just completed a multi-million-pound refurbishment enhancing the building’s historic features whilst combining with a high-quality modern feel. I’m looking forward to promoting everything the venue has to offer, from the traditional livery spaces to the amazing new London Bridge Arches, which really is a hidden gem.”
