For the first time this year, the St Albans Christmas Market, from 30th November to 22nd December is being hosted within the Meraki Christmas Festival. Event Flooring Solutions Ltd was delighted to be invited to provide the flooring for the event. The Meraki Christmas Market held from 8th to 22nd December also made use of EFS’s event flooring.

The Meraki Christmas Market is hosting over 40 German-Style wooden chalets for thousands of die-hard Christmas shoppers who will be punishing EFS’s Temp-A-Path for over 2 weeks. 200sqm of EFS’s light-grey Temp-A-Path has been installed within the walled Cathedral Gardens to protect the footpaths to the chalets and also to protect the prestigious lawns. Due to the lightweight nature of Temp-A-Path, this meant the flooring could be delivered to the site by hand; essential as vehicle access is impossible!  In the Front Meadow, 1600sqm of Temp-A-Path has been installed around Verulamium Park to protect the ground around the funfair, fire pit bar, skating rink and more!  As such, these installations are a terrific test of both product and service quality.

St Albans’ formerly troubled Christmas Market has been completely revamped by the new organisers of the popular Meraki Festival for this year’s festivities. Overhauling the operation, Meraki Festival is offering a host of new activities to transform the city into a wonderful winter wonderland.

Meraki Festival founder Kerry Marks said: “We are unbelievably excited about bringing a wonderland style Christmas event to St Albans. Our event will be packed full of festive experiences and the beauty of Christmas. We cannot wait to welcome you all.”

Jeremy Simpson, Business Development Manager at EFS Europe Ltd said “We were thrilled to be invited to supply the Meraki Christmas Festival this year. We have been talking to the organisers about this exciting new venture since September. The event already looks to be a tremendous success and we are delighted to add it to our prestigious event calendar.”
