EFS Europe returned to the Leeds & Reading Festivals for the fourth time this year to once again install temporary flooring to the artist and backstage areas.

Headlining the iconic festivals this year were the Foo Fighters, Bastille, 1975, the Blossoms and Twenty One Pilots.

The events took place from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August. EFS’s team installed the flooring the week prior to the event, with the uplift taking place the day after the festivals finished.

Over 1,000m2 of Temp-A-Path was used to create safe pedestrian access for artists and production staff. The product was deployed around the village of portakabins that are used as dressing rooms, and also to create clear access from those areas to the main stage. In addition, the Reading site used a further 100m2 of Temp-A-Path in and around the female toilet areas. EFS also supplied and installed the carpets within all of the artist dressing rooms.

Both festivals have increased the use of EFS Europe’s plastic, interlocking flooring in the last four years, with the product’s easy installation by hand giving it the ability to be retrospectively installed once all of the portakabins have been located in position.

Jeremy Simpson, EFS’s managing director, said: ‘”We were delighted to be invited to work with Festival Republic again and we’re really proud of how well the products have performed at both sites. Both the Reading and Leeds Festivals are significant parts of the British summer festival season and to play a part in them is a great marker for our company.”
