Five of the most promising start-ups in the meetings technology sector have been shortlisted for the 2019 Future of Meetings Award.

Exclusively open to businesses which have been in the market for three years or less, the Future of Meetings Award offers a springboard to launching new products and services to the meetings industry.

This year’s finalists of the Future of Meetings Award, organised by the Meetings Design Institute (MDI) in partnership with The Meetings Show, are:

  • KUDO
  • Vizzmee Ltd
  • Lineup Ninja
  • Kubify
  • Firebird Conference Systems

The finalists were chosen by a panel of industry expert judges including Carsten Pleiser, CEO of the Event Tech Tribe; Adam Parry, editor of Event Industry News, Felix Rundel, head of programmes and international development at the Falling Walls Foundation; Rosa Garriga, meeting architect of Kenes Group, Sofia Rodrigues Teles, VP of Education at MDI; and Ross Barker, commercial director of The Meetings Show.

All of the finalists will receive free stand space to exhibit at The Meetings Show on 26th and 27th June, where they can benefit from pre-scheduled appointments with the show’s hosted buyers as well as the chance to meet with thousands of visitors to the show.

The winner will be announced at the show on Wednesday 26th June, and will receive complimentary MDI membership for one year, as well as a complimentary stand at next year’s The Meetings Show, including promotional opportunities following the event.

Judge and commercial director of The Meetings Show, Ross Barker, said: “The Future of Meetings Award showcases the technology that is going to change the face of meetings and events in the years to come.

“For the five finalists, exhibiting at The Meetings Show is a fantastic opportunity to reach an audience of thousands of event professionals from around the world and could catapult their business to the next level. They have all done brilliantly just to be shortlisted, and I look forward to announcing the winner at the show.”

Sofia Rodrigues Teles from MDI said: “The Future of Meetings is a great opportunity for start-ups to showcase their products and services and for meeting planners to discover cool and innovative solutions for their meetings and events. We received several entries, and the judges selected the most innovative solutions, and that bring more value to the participants and organisers.”

Taking place on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th June at Olympia London, The Meetings Show will bring together more than 4,500 industry professionals for two days of meeting, networking and learning. For more information visit www.themeetingsshow.com
