SK Events is set to launch a brand new food and drink festival, Manchester Eats, at Manchester’s Heaton Park on 7th and 8th July next year.
The event will bring together some of the city’s most popular restaurants and bars, as well as top international street food stalls, to transform Heaton Park into a food lovers’ paradise.
Manchester Eats also features an entertaining programme of demonstrations and masterclasses with appearances from high profile celebrity chefs.
Visitors will have the opportunity to sample and buy tasty treats from a range of themed areas including a huge producers’ market, a gin garden, a craft beer zone and a healthy living area. The event will also feature a dedicated children’s village and acoustic live sets from local bands.
Denise Harris, Director at SK Events, said: “Over the past 10 years, we have worked with many of the industry’s top names including Marco Pierre White, The Hairy Bikers, Gino D’Acampo, Tom Kerridge and Yotam Ottolenghi. It’s a natural progression for us, as a business, to use our knowledge and expertise to expand our portfolio of large scale food and drink events.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing Manchester Eats to Heaton Park, which is a stunning location. I’m sure it will be a big hit with food lovers from across the region.”
Executive Member for Schools, Culture and Leisure at Manchester City Council, Councillor Luthfur Rahman, said: “We look forward to hosting this special summer event, which will offer some of the best food and drink to be found in Manchester, all within the glorious surroundings of one of our greatest green gems.”
SK Events’ portfolio of pop up events includes Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, Liverpool Spring Festival, Barcode Expo, Taste Cumbria and Celebration of Style.
