Diversified Communications UK announced another record year at its annual Company Strategy Day, which took place in Brighton last week.

Revenue during the year ending 31 December is set to be up by over 18%, compared with 2017. Strong organic growth, combined with the acquisition of London Design Fair in January, and the launch of Accountex Summit North in March, turned 2018 into a record-breaking year for the award-winning trade event organiser and publisher; which has offices in Brighton, London, Nailsworth and Peterborough.

The company organised 14 events and four awards at venues across London, the NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, and MalmöMässan in Sweden. Together they hosted 3,425 companies exhibiting across 47,000 sqm and welcomed over 90,000 attendees (compared to over 52,000 in 2017).  The company’s publishing division also performed ahead of expectation.

Diversified Communications UK’s managing director Carsten Holm commented: “This has been another great year for our UK business, particularly during what has been such an uncertain year on the political front.  But it shows that the event business is still thriving and even when times are tough, trade shows continue to be an essential route to market for most businesses.

“We are looking forward to 2019 with confidence, with strong pipelines and two new events to look forward to, including the launch of Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia in Madrid next June, and the recently announced acquisition of Digital Construction Week.”

Diversified Communications UK, which is part of leading international media company Diversified Communications, continues to strengthen its position as one of the fastest growing event organisers and publishers in the UK. It now employs over 110 staff and has more than doubled in size over the past three years.

Looking ahead, 2019 is set to be another busy year for Diversified Communications UK.  February through June sees events running every month – including Casual Dining, Casual Dining Restaurant & Pub Awards, British Tourism & Travel Show, British Coach Tourism Awards, Natural & Organic Products Europe, Natural and Organic Awards, Ocean Business, Accountex, SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show, GEO Business, Commercial Kitchen, Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia, and MARELEC Marine Electromagnetics conference. While the Autumn heralds eight events within as many weeks.
