EventLAB is set to welcome over 1,000 event organisers (a 25% increase on last year) for the forthcoming edition of its growing flagship event. The two-day-long event takes place at the Business Design Centre, London on 14th-15th October and will see approximately 1,800 one-to-one business meetings take place.

Event planners are confirmed to attend from over 800 high-profile brands, including Amazon, BCD Travel, Bloomberg, British Airways, British Fashion Council, Capita, Investec and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Exhibitors confirmed to date include Edwardian Hotels, National Gallery, Royal Museums Greenwich, The Brewery and The Hurlingham Club.

To provide added value for attendees and maximise their ROI, EventLAB will see 250 buyers to meet with exhibiting venues and suppliers that match their brief, as part of a new ‘Buyer Intent Programme’ introduced this year. The handpicked buyers have an average yearly event spend of over £750,000. The programme will also benefit exhibitors as they will meet with buyers interested in their specific offerings.

Felicity Cator, head of EventLAB, commented: “Building valuable business connections for our attendees and exhibitors and inspiring them with insightful programmes and engaging networking events is central to our strategy. Following the success of last year’s event, we have ambitious plans for EventLAB 2019 and its format, to ensure it serves not only as a great backdrop against which to network and do business, but also to inspire our attendees and offer them great experiences.”

EventLAB 2019 will provide a comprehensive education programme in the Learning Hub, featuring thought-leaders, influencers and key players from both within and outside the event industry. All education sessions fall under five themes: Engagement, Innovation & Technology; Leadership, Professional Development & Culture; Partnerships, Sponsorships & Sales; Current Affairs, Regulations & Compliance; and“Marketing, Social Media & Branding.

The event showcases an exciting speaker line-up, which includes a mix of key players, thought-leaders, industry influencers, and innovators such as Mark Bannister, head of technical production at George P. Johnson; Celine Khor, head of brand experience at John Doe Communications; Ben Naughton-Rumbo, A.l. and growth consultant at Growth Tribe; and Nicole Soames, CEO of Diadem and author of ‘The Negotiation Book’.

Delegates will have the opportunity to attend interactive CPD-accredited workshops and interactive masterclasses, where they can gain practical insights and interact with experts and educators ‘in the know’ on the latest industry developments. Session topics include event technology; improving customer experience; brand engagement; marketing ROI; content marketing; event design; wellbeing; and attracting sponsorship, among others.
