EventCity, Manchester, the North’s largest exhibition and multipurpose event venue, will host the UK’s largest indoor winter carnival this festive season.

From 7th December through to New Year’s Day, Winter Funland is set to be the ultimate festive day out for the entire family. The event will use 22,000 sqm of event space (the equivalent of five football pitches) and will be home to an indoor ice rink, circus, fun-fair, Santa’s Grotto and a wide array of seasonal treats and festivities including Christmas entertainment in a 1000-seater theatre.

Expected to be bigger than ever before, new hosts Geronimo are doubling the amount of festive activity, in hopes of welcoming a record number of visitors to the North-West venue for the family affair.

Aiding in the planning of Winter Funland was a team of experienced event specialists, taking away the Christmas stress for all those involved. Speaking on the experience and support from EventCity, Andy Windmill of Winter Funland, commented:

“The EventCity team have been absolutely instrumental in making this event work – from day one they’ve aided in the planning and execution of the event, helping us create an incredible, breath-taking Winter Funland for children and families to enjoy from across the country.

“EventCity is the perfect venue for Winter Funland, due to its versatility and the large, flexible space. We can’t wait for visitors to join us at EventCity and see what we’ve done.”

EventCity offers 28,000 sqm of fully flexible space, with a choice of four halls ranging from 2,500 – 16,000 sqm in size. The venue also features 2,000 free on-site parking spaces, easy access loading facilities and close proximity to a variety of transport links and motorways.
