Shortlisted

ER Productions is delighted to have been announced as finalists in the prestigious Festival Supplier Awards 2020. The company is shortlisted in the Best Visual SpectacularBest Supplier and Best Festival Technology Provider categories, for its work with Tame Impala, Childish Gambino and Aphex Twin at Coachella 2019.

It was chosen as the official supplier of lasers & SFX to the Saturday night headliner, Tame Impala, delivering truly remarkable, psychedelic visuals. It played a key role in the design and programming of the show, working closely alongside the talented creative and lighting designers, Willo Perron and Rob Sinclair.

The company provided 34 ER AT30 lasers (from its brand-new Modular ATOLLA Range); the most 30w it has ever used in one show. The ATTOLLA range of equipment can attach to the Kinekt series to become the most advanced modular laser system in the world, allowing you to quickly and easily attach multiple lasers above or below, building up a fully customisable unit. During the Tame Impala set, the grand total of 1020 watts used meant that this was one of ER’s most powerful shows to date.

In addition to the breath-taking, beautifully programmed lasers, ER also shot out multi-coloured confetti from 18 Stadium Blasters during the closing song, which created a beautiful and dramatic shower over the Coachella audience and added to the fun, psychedelic party atmosphere.

ER’s established relationship with Tame Impala continues to this day, as it is currently supporting them on their world tour with lasers and SFX, while they promote their new album.

Tame Impala wasn’t the only headliner the production company supplied lasers and SFX to at Coachella 2019, as its expertise in laser technology was also required to join singer, rapper and songwriter, Childish Gambino, on the Main Stage.

ER Productions stepped up to the challenge in supplying a staggering 140 BB3s for this headline show. BB3 is the latest performance laser in ER Productions’ Beamburst range. It is the first professional laser that is completely DMX controlled, providing fixture scanning and audience exposure without the need to upload frames or other laser-related software. The use of these BB3s helped create the energetic set that filled the arena with a buzzing atmosphere.

On the opening day of the two-weekend long festival, ER accompanied Aphex Twin on the Mojave Stage. The team rigged 10 BB4s, 6 Laserblades and 2 x SLP Greens, positioned in-between a number of LED screens, to support the lights and visuals accompanying his ‘skull-shaking’ performance.
