The World’s greatest classical music festival, ‘Proms’, celebrated in Hyde Park, has seen EFS Europe install over 2800m2 of the company’s own Temp-A-Path this year.

The temporary pedestrian flooring was installed in the artist areas, VIP staging areas, disabled entrance and viewing platform and also around the toilet blocks. The show’s organisers, Festival Republic, commissioned EFS Europe to supply and install the event flooring and an additional 800sqm was deployed this year – almost a third up on previous years!

The event was hosted once again hosted by Michael Ball with the legendary, Grammy Award winning, Barry Manilow, headlining this year’s concert. Other artists included American singer-songwriter and founding member of The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde; English-Italian singer-songwriter, Jack Savoretti; iconic East London-born RnB and soul singer, Gabrielle; and star operatic soprano Aida Garifullina. 40,000 voices joined the 60-piece BBC Concert Orchestra for a mass sing-along to bring the evening to a spectacular close.

Jeremy Simpson, EFS’s managing director said: “We’re delighted to have increased our work with Festival Republic over the years and we’re particularly proud of how well the product has performed. The BBC’s Proms in the Park is a significant event in the British summer season and to play a part in it is a great coup for our company.”
