Britain’s largest outdoor classical music festival, Proms in the Park, saw EFS Europe install its temporary pedestrian flooring, Temp-A-Path, once again this year.

The event returned on 8th September and was hosted again by Michael Ball. In a new addition for this year the traditional ‘Last Night’ anthems were performed live on the Hyde Park stage by Proms in the Park favourites the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe. Forty thousand voices joined them for the mass singalong as the evening was brought to a finale.

One of the great soul voices of all time, Gladys Knight, with 7 Grammy awards to her name, headlined the event, ensuring Hyde Park spent its evening with a music legend! Joining her at this iconic festival were: Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and actor Josh Groban, Joseph Calleja, one of the world’s most sought after tenors, Matt Goss, from selling out arenas around the world with BROS brought some Vegas swagger to Proms in the Park, Lisa Stansfield an ever present voice in UK music for decades! And, the Rock Choir, the UK’s largest contemporary choir.

The organisers, Festival Republic, commissioned EFS Europe to supply 2000m2 of Temp-A-Path for the artist areas, VIP staging areas, pedestrian walkways and toilet areas.

“We’re delighted to have increased our work with Festival Republic over the last few years and we’re particularly proud of how well the product has performed. The BBC’s Proms in the Park is a significant event in the British summer season and to play a part in it is a great coup for our company.” Said Jeremy Simpson, EFS’s Business Development Manager.
