The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced that it will be bringing a completely new competitive equestrian event to the venue next year, in the shape of the High Flyers Show, March 15-17, 2019.

The High Flyers Show is aimed at professional riders and showing producers, and will add several new UK championship titles to those currently offered by the Horse of The Year Show, The London International Horse Show and Liverpool International.

Betsy Branyan, event director at East of England Arena, explained why the venue chose to organise and launch the show, saying, “The enormous popularity of Equifest, our all-comers, 5-day horse show, has proven there’s a huge appetite for equestrian events at every level. We’ve wanted to launch a show for professional riders for several years, but only now have we been able to create the opportunity on the calendar, and ensure its success with the many improvements to our site infrastructure.”

“Being a showground,” continued Branyan, “our facilities are precisely on-target for equestrian events and using our many indoor event spaces, we’re able to create a weather-resistant horse show complete with an indoor trade exhibition, a professional indoor competition ring and indoor stabling. With the continuing growth of Equifest, my aim with The High Flyers Show is to offer producers the chance to bring out their young horses and compete in an environment which will offer a great experience to both horse and rider.”

The High Flyers Show will be open to the public and will offer free parking as well as berths with hook-ups for motorhomes and horseboxes. In addition to the competitions and trade stands there will also be exclusive classes in showing and a wide variety of catering options. Tickets and the full schedule will available on a dedicated website soon, and the show is inviting exhibitors, traders, competitors and sponsors to register their interest online at www.highflyersshow.co.uk.
