David Bloch International and his path to three Eventex Awards

Born & raised in Cape Town, South Africa, David trained at the Technikon Pretoria Dance & Musical Theatre Department, attaining distinctions in acting and singing. He has performed in most mediums within the entertainment field and was selected to represent SA at the 1999 World Championships of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he took top honours in acting and singing.

Highlights in his early years of performing include working with Emmy Award Winning Director/Choreographer, the late Alan Johnson, on the South African National Tour of West Side Story & appearing in the South African Premier of the hit musical La Cage Aux Follies. He has been fortunate to appear as an MC, singer, actor & dancer for numerous high profile corporate clients since graduating.

As Creative Producer & Show Director, David has also managed artists/talent for a variety of top companies and high-profile events, both in his country & abroad.

These include Dubai, the USA, the UK, France, Italy, India, Hong Kong, Macau, Germany, Poland, Sydney, Swaziland, Zambia, Ghana, Burkino Faso, The Seychelles, Mauritius, including exclusively chartered Corporate Cruises in the Caribbean, Mediterranean & Baltic Sea.

Over the years David has had the pleasure and privilege of working with a variety of artists and speciality acts who hail from all corners of the globe. Many of them have appeared on television programmes the likes of Dancing with the Stars, Strictly Come Dancing, America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, Spain’s Got Talent & The Voice Mexico, or who have featured in productions staged around the world by the likes of Cirque du Soleil, Fuerza Bruta, Pilobolus and De La Guarda.

These include illusionist & endurance artist David Blaine, the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, Academy Award Winner Charlize Theron, Philanthropist Sir Bob Geldof as well as Emmy Winning Choreographer Derek Hough, to name but a few.

David has served as Executive Show Producer, Creative Director, Stage Director or Entertainment/Talent Manager for a number of Corporate Awards Galas and television productions.

Highlights include; the Forrest Whitaker ‘Godfather of Harlem’ South African Visit (with Disney), the Inaugural Round Glass Music Awards in New York, the Opening Ceremony of both the 60th & 63rd FIFA Congress, Numerous Education Africa Gala Fundraising Banquets in London & New York as well as the SA Music Awards and SA Film & Television Awards.

This year he celebrates 22 years since the first event he ever produced.
