No, its nothing to do with what happens on an aeroplane. This is about rewarding crew members who have all completed 10,000 hours onsite building events around the United Kingdom. As part of Crewsaders 10th Anniversary Family Fun Day celebrations at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre at Fillongly, six more Crewsaders staff were awarded their celebratory Tag Heuer watches.

Termed as ‘yellow-bloods’ Mike Townsend, Jarrod Bischoff, Tom Barlow and Phil Littlefair from the London region; Matt Tector from the Birmingham region; Paul Keys from the Manchester region and Adam McConnachie from the Bristol region were all recognised for their years of continuous service at one of the UK’s most respected crewing companies. The award has already been given to 28 long serving staff; many of them recognisable faces that production managers and event organisers have seen on site over many years. Company directors Jeremey Berryman, Calum McConnachie, and Neil White were on stage at the ceremony to recognise and congratulate the long-service achievements.

But does someone sit in an office going through excel spread sheets to work out how many hours someone has worked? No, because tech-savvy Crewsaders has been using their own self-built online event management system for 8 years. At the click of the mouse, staff hours can be easily calculated and staff recognised for their contribution to the company. The system has been so successful in managing the client-side and internal management systems for events, that it has been shortlisted in the Event Management software category at the Event Technology Awards 2018.
