Corporate Event Buyers increase by 25% at the London Summer Event Show

The London Summer Event Show returned for its fourth edition on 23 – 24 January at central city venue Banking Hall.

It was the 8th event in organiser Story Events boutique event exhibition series (which also includes the London Christmas Party Show).

This year saw record visitor numbers, as they welcomed 905 unique event buyers through the doors over the two-day event. Corporate Event Buyers saw the most impressive increase, with 670 in attendance representing a 25% rise compared to the last event.

Some top names on the attendee list included corporate buyers from, 21st Century Fox, ASOS, Aviva, AXA Insurance, Barclays, British Water, BT, CIMA, EY, JLL, Marks & Spencer, Olgivy & Mather, Shell, Tesco, Vitality, Xero to name a few

Clare McAndrew Marketing & Content Manager at Story Events comments, “We are delighted to have attracted such an increase in corporate event buyers to this year’s event, which can be attributed to our focus on content at the Show. We try and refresh our content each year through a carefully planned seminar programme, our #StoryGivesBack initiative and policies such as only allowing 60% repeat exhibitor bookings year on year.”

The event showcased 80 of the industry’s best event venues and suppliers, 40% of which were first-time exhibitors. Among the first-time exhibitors were companies such as 58VE, Beyond Repair Dance, Drunken Dairy, Thames Luxury Charters, Catapult, Fews Marquees, Newbury Racecourse, Pieminster and Splento to name a few.

First time exhibitor, Angela Wilkins, Owner of Drunken Dairy commented about her experience, “It was absolutely fantastic, it’s almost certainly the most productive Show we’ve ever done and probably the best organised.”

The next event in the series is the London Christmas Party Show which will take place at Plaisterers’ Hall on 15 – 16 May. Applications to exhibit are currently being accepted. Email ellie@storyevents.co.uk for more information.
