Connection Crew, multi‑award‑winning social enterprise at the heart of the UK events and production industries, today announces that it has achieved B Corp Certification. It is the first events crewing company to join the growing movement of companies reinventing business for the benefit of all people and our shared planet.
Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, the achievement demonstrates that Connection Crew meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The company achieved a B Corp score of 103.8, significantly exceeding the 80-point threshold required for certification.
This news comes as the ongoing climate crisis and widening social inequality continue to pose urgent challenges. Since 2005, Connection Crew has earned recognition both for its impact and service delivery across the social enterprise, corporate, and events industries. Founded as part of The Connection at St Martin’s in Trafalgar Square, it has grown from a crew of six to one of the UK’s leading crew companies, generating more than 300,000 hours of work for people affected by homelessness in that time.
Warren Rogers, Director of Connection Crew says:
“This milestone marks a pivotal moment in our journey. For 20 years we’ve been asked a simple question: can great service and great impact go hand in hand? The answer is: they can, and they must. B Corp Certification is recognition of the hard work of all those who have helped create opportunities for people affected by homelessness, championed sustainability, and proven business for good is good business.”
B Corp certification assesses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers impact areas related to practices around governance, workers, community, the environment and customers. The certification process is rigorous, with companies required to provide evidence on performance while legally embedding their commitment to purpose as well as profit in their company articles.

Charlotte Scotland, ESG, Data & Communications Manager and Connection Crew’s B Corp Lead said:
“As a social enterprise, people have always been central to our work; since 2020, we’ve been focused on sustainability as well. B Corp certification reflects years of purposefully building people and planet into how we work, how we measure performance, and how we plan for the future. We’re immensely proud to have this commitment reflected in our score.”
Connection Crew is now part of a growing community of over 10,000 businesses globally that have certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK is the largest and fastest growing in the world, with over 2,600 including The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, and The Big Issue.
Chris Turner, CEO of B Lab UK, says:
“Welcoming Connection Crew CIC to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
