Saturday 6th October saw the return of Charity Boxing Nights at the Hilton Manchester produced by local events company, ConnectIn Events.

The electrifying event in aid of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Saint Mary’s Children’s Hospital and headline sponsored by ANS, raised a whopping £45k on the night – a figure which continues to rise.

Charity Boxing Nights was created after founder Ric Moylan experienced the loss of his niece Soffia Rose, in 2015 just 12 days old and he has since dedicated his time to helping other children and their families.

ConnectIn Events, ran by Penni Pennington and David Ward are known for their charitable productions and commit every year to a set number of events to help others. ConnectIn Events decided to get involved in Charity Boxing Nights following meeting with Ric by chance in the gym and being touched by his inspiring story.

Another close pal of Charity Boxing Nights and ConnectIn Events is Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley who was present on the night and put a show stopping performance on to the atmospheric 600 strong crowd.

Cath said “I was so thrilled to be involved for the third year. What an awesome night it was and what an outstanding event Ric Moylan and ConnectIn Events created. Ric in particular pours his heart and soul into this event every year.”

Ric Moylan, Founder of Charity Boxing Nights said “ConnectIn events once again put on a fantastic event. They not only shared my vision for CBN, but through their industry expertise and outstanding eye for detail have taken the event to a whole new level. My vision for CBN is to raise at least £1 million for the hospital, and I’m absolutely certain that with having ConnectIn alongside me, this dream will become a reality.”
