Iain Duncan Smith, Conservative MP for Chingford and Woodford Green, and Jason Fox, star of Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, will deliver the opening and closing keynotes at Event Buyers Live 2019.

Duncan Smith, the former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (DWP) and chairman of the Centre for Social Justice, will take to the stage at the exclusive industry event to discuss Brexit and its impact on the events industry. Duncan Smith will address industry concerns, discuss what Brexit will mean for the events industry and reveal his views on the Brexit deal.

Jason Fox, former Royal Marine Commando and Special Forces Sergeant, will close Event Buyers Live on February 21 with an insightful session on hard work, resilience and teamwork. His time in the Special Forces has resulted in a wealth of experience surrounding the complexities of teamwork and resilience, often in pressurised environments.

Speaking of the exciting keynote announcements, Neil Fagg, event director of Event Buyers Live, said: “As you can imagine, we’re thrilled to reveal both Iain and Jason as our opening and closing keynote speakers for Event Buyers Live 2019.

“Iain’s address surrounding Brexit and the impact it will have on the events industry is so timely, I’m sure that the events industry will be keen to hear what he has to say, whether events professionals agree with his political stance, or not.

“Given the fact that the UK will leave the EU on March 30, I’m also sure that the UK events industry will need to work together to overcome any challenges Brexit may bring, so Jason’s closing keynote session on the importance of hard work, resilience and teamwork is also timely.”
