Festive pop-up playground ‘Winterville’ is back at Clapham Common and EFS Europe was as pleased as Punch to be asked to supply the temporary flooring for the event once again.

Yuletide thrill seekers can frolic to their heart’s content with more Christmas activities than you can shake a snow globe at. There’s a street feast, plonk golf, a backyard cinema, an ice rink, a Christmas market and even Mexican wrestling in the mix.

EFS has supplied 1100sqm of Temp-A-Path in Christmas green to keep the happy party-goes safe around the fairground areas. The lightweight, interlocking modular flooring system, ideal for creating instant pedestrian walkways, has been installed around the many rides. Adrenaline crazed revellers can get their kicks on the Big Wheel, the Dodgems, Flying Dumbos, a Ghost Train and the Crazy Mouse as well as lots of rides for the little ones.

The Christmas event, which will take over Clapham Common for five-and-a-half weeks this winter, is expected to attract 250,000 people. That’s around half a million feet pounding EFS’s Temp-A-Path for over a month.

EFS’s Business Development Manager said: Winterville’s organisers chose Temp-A-Path because it is so strong. Even though it’s lightweight and quick to deploy, they knew it would stand the serious pounding it was going to receive over the weeks. Our flooring has been used by the organiser’s at BBC’s Proms in the Park, so they knew it would stand up to the job. Anti-Slip Temp-A-Path has been installed around the fairground rides to keep the merrymakers safe and the rides mud-free!’
